President Donald Trump has doubled down on his persistent calls to incorporate Greenland into becoming part of the US with a pretty blunt statement yesterday (January 25).
It comes off the back of a fiery phone call the POTUS had with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, which reportedly sent officials into crisis mode.
Trump’s heated phone call
Over the past couple of days, Trump shared a heated phone call with Frederiksen over the potential of acquiring Greenland – something which hadn’t really been taken seriously until now.

Of course, Greenland has been part of the Danish Kingdom since it was colonized back in the 18th century – and was seen as only a colony until 1953 when it was redefined as a district of Denmark.
Now, Trump is adamant that he’ll add the world’s largest island, and it’s 57,000 residents, to be part of the US.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, he doubled down with some blunt remarks: “I think we’re going to have it.
“I think the people want to be with us.

“I don’t really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn’t allow that to happen because it’s for the protection of the free world.”
He continued: “I think Greenland we’ll get because it has to do with freedom of the world.
“It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we’re the one that can provide the freedom. They can’t.”
Trump was ‘very firm’
Officials in Denmark, who wished to stay anonymous, spoke to the Financial Times after Trump and Frederiksen spoke on the phone about this possibility.
They said Trump was fiery, aggressive, and confrontational, despite the offer to increase Greenland-US cooperation on military bases and natural resources.

An unnamed source said: “[Trump] was very firm. It was a cold shower. Before, it was hard to take it seriously. But I do think it is serious, and potentially very dangerous.”
Why does Trump want to buy Greenland?
Before he entered the White House, Trump said he wanted to buy Greenland, with Republican lawmakers having drawn up a bill which will allow the 47th president to start negotiations.
Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, he said: “For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.
“Greenland is an incredible place. The people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, cherish it, from a very vicious outside World.
“MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”

An ‘unprecedented and revelatory film’ is set for release ‘revealing a cover-up of the existence of non-human intelligent life’.
Last year, the US Senate introduced the bipartisan Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) – aka Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) – Disclosure Act.
And on January 22, a trailer for a documentary titled The Age of Disclosure claiming to lift the lid on an ’80-year cover-up’ was released online and it’s giving viewers’ ‘chills’.
The US government and UFOs
In 2023, three former military officials told Congress they believe the government knows more about UFOs than it is telling the public, and lawmakers noted UAPs are very much an issue of bipartisan concern and raise national security questions – such as being a threat to military or civilian aircraft.
Congress has since discussed the implications of UAPs on ‘national security, public safety and government transparency’ and last year the US Senate introduced the bipartisan UAP Disclosure Act, proposing the Government have to publicly disclose what it knows about UAPs.
And a new ‘unprecedented and revelatory’ documentary is set for release diving even further into the issue, featuring interviews with 34 senior members of the US Government, military and intelligence community.
The documentary has been dubbed ‘unprecedented and revelatory’ (Cinetic Media)
What the documentary is set to ‘expose’
Produced and directed by Dan Farah, the documentary ‘reveals an 80-year cover-up of the existence of non-human intelligent life and a secret war amongst major nations to reverse engineer technology of non-human origin,’ its website states.
“Amongst those featured in the landmark film are Lue Elizondo (former Department of Defense official, member of the Government’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, aka AATIP), Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Mike Rounds, Jay Stratton (former DIA official, Director of the Government’s UAP Task Force), General Jim Clapper (former Director of National Intelligence), Mike Gold (NASA UAP Study Team member), Admiral Tim Gallaudet (Former Navy Chief Oceanographer), Brett Feddersen (former Director of Aviation Security on the White House’s National Security Council), Jim Semivan (former senior CIA official), Representative Carson, Mike Gallagher (former Chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party), Christopher Mellon (former Department of Defense official), senior scientist from multiple Government UAP programs such as Dr. Garry Nolan, quantum physicist Hal Puthoff Ph.D., astrophysicist Eric Davis Ph.D., military eye-witnesses of UAP events over U.S. military bases, and more,” it adds.
And with the trailer having been released on YouTube on January 22, it’s not taken long for people to weigh in.

Reactions to the Age of Disclosure trailer
One YouTube user wrote: “Finally, a well produced UFO documentary with great cinematography, well lit professional interviews and substantial interviewees. 10/10 well done.”
“Now THIS trailer gave me chills,” another added.
A third said: “Oh. My. God. This is gonna be good! The caliber of people they interviewed is unprecedented.”
A fourth resolved: “The time of revelation, It’s about time. We are ready.”
The Age of Disclosure is set to premiere at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival in Austin’s Paramount Theater.

Donald Trump delivered a second speech and made a comment about wife Melania’s feet which he admitted he was probably ‘going to get hell’ for.
Yesterday (January 20), Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, delivering his inaugural speech in the Capitol Rotunda in Washington, DC.
Shortly after his inauguration, the 78-year-old delivered a second speech during which he not only thanked his wife, Melania, but also gave a very public shout out to her feet, no less.
Delivering remarks in the emancipation hall shortly after giving his inaugural speech, Trump thanked the crowds but took a moment to praise ‘a First Lady who has been incredible’.
He said: “I shouldn’t say this, I’m going to get hell when I say this, but her feet hurt. Absolutely aching. You know, those heels.
“And we thought we were leaving, we were going home. ‘Sir would you be able to go down and say hello to some of your other fans?’ And I said, ‘Oh, I didn’t know that’.”
Trump went on to say Melania told him she ‘loves [him] so much’ but her feet were ‘hurting,’ the president then checking how far they’d have to walk.
#prayformelaniasfeet? (CBS News)
“Maybe 400 or 500 yards – that’s five football fields,” he continued. “I said, ‘Can you make it?’ She said, ‘We’re going to make it no matter what. We’re going to make it because we have to’.”
Trump explained the pair then went to the helicopter and said bye, with Melania’s fashion troubles not ending there either with her hat nearly ‘blowing away’ too.
And it’s not taken long for viewers to flock to social media to weigh in.
One Twitter user said: “TRUMP IS TALKING ABOUT MELANIA’S FEET. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”
“When he said ‘I’m gonna get hell for saying this, but her feet are absolutely…’ with that pause, I genuinely thought he was about to go down that road,” another added.
A third commented: “Oh bring her some crocs! I get sore feet too!”
And it’s not the only rogue moment you may’ve missed if you tuned into Trump’s inauguration day – there were eight ‘uncomfortable’ interactions during the event.
A failed kiss, billionaires on the front row and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden too – oh and Hillary Clinton certainly didn’t hold back either.

Ivanka Trump has issued a brutal three-word response when she was asked if she had any plans to help out in the White House.
The 43-year-old businesswoman was a senior advisor in her father Donald Trump’s first administration as president between 2017 and 2021, and also assumed a high role as director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.
Ivanka was present at the rally her father hosted outside the White House before a mob of his supporters stormed the US Capitol and then, mysteriously, was nowhere to be seen on Trump’s campaign trail last year.
The former aide had previously confirmed that she and her husband, Jared Kushner, who also served as a senior advisor in the Trump White House, would be leaving Washington for sunnier shores in Florida, closing the door on politics to pursue their family life.
At the time, Ivanka said: “While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”
Now, it appears Ivanka is sticking to her guns and has zero intention of helping her father out during his second administration, which he is due to take over on Monday (January 20).

Appearing on The Skinny Confidential’s Him & Her Show on Tuesday (January 14), Trump’s eldest daughter issued a brutal response when asked why she is steering clear of Washington.
Ivanka explained: “I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable.”
She continued: “There is a darkness to that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.
“To some degree, I’m at the center of the storm because my father is about to be president, but it’s a very dark, negative business. And some people love the gladiator aspect of it – the fight. That was never me.”
The couple and their three children moved to Florida after Trump’s 2020 election loss, which she suggested was in her hindsight of knowing the true ‘cost’ of serving for her country.

“It’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear,” she added, and said she missed out on some ‘really critical moments’.
“My primary goals were just to like, be the best freaking mom,” Ivanka reaffirmed.
Despite distancing herself from politics, Ivanka said she still intends to ‘show up’ for her dad – but just as a daughter rather than an aide.
She continued: “I think I’m most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter and be there for him to take his mind off things, to watch a movie with him, or watch a sports game.
“To know that he can be with me, and be himself and just relax and for me to be able to provide that for him in a very loving way as his daughter.
“It’s the world’s loneliest position – the enormity of the decisions you’re making on a daily basis, how transactional everyone is with you.”

Donald Trump has ordered for documents on John F Kennedy’s assassination to be declassified.
JFK was murdered in 1963 while riding in his open-top Lincoln Continental Presidential Limousine through Dealy Plaza in Dallas, Texas.
Less than two hours later, former US Marine Lee Harvey Oswald was apprehended by police and was charged with the then-president’s murder.

The National Archives and Records Administration has previously said 97 percent of the roughly five million pages in its collection are related to the JFK assassination, CBS News reports, and now ,Trump wants to unseal some — or possibly all — of the remaining documents.
The president signed an order on Thursday (January 23) ordering the director of national intelligence and attorney general to spend the next few days coming up with a plan to release the final files in question.
Part of the newly signed order states, as per Mail Online: “More than 50 years after the assassinations of President John F Kennedy, Senator Robert F Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Federal Government has not released to the public all of its records related to those events.
“Their families and the American people deserve transparency and truth. It is in the national interest to finally release all records related to these assassinations without delay.”
As to what is expected to be found in the documents, an expert has suggested that they could reveal some ‘very embarrassing’ secrets about the CIA.
Speaking to Fox News, Gerald Posner, the author of Case Closed: Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK, said: “I think that we could actually find the files that are very embarrassing to the CIA and one of the reasons they’ve held on to these for so long.”
He went on to suggest that the CIA were aware of Oswald before he assassinated JFK, but the CIA let the Marine vet slip through the net.
“I think the CIA was surveying him,” said Posner.
“They knew what he was doing. They knew he was unhinged, that he had taken out a pistol and slammed it on the table at the Soviet mission.”

The order also relates to files on Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination; something the late activist’s family have spoken out on.
They said: “Today, our family has learned that President Trump has ordered the declassification of the remaining records pertaining to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and our father, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“For us, the assassination of our father is a deeply personal family loss that we have endured over the last 56 years. We hope to be provided the opportunity to review the files as a family prior to its public release.”
