A new bill that would make masturbation unlawful if the act was done without the intention on procreating has been put forward.
There have been many changes regarding women’s reproductive rights in the US in recent years — the biggest being the overturning Roe V. Wade ruling in 2022, which dated back to 1973.
But American men have faced limit constraints in regards to their reproductive rights, but this proposed bill could change all that.
Titled ‘The Contraception Begins At Erection Act’, the act would make it illegal for a man to masturbate if it was done with no intention of conceiving a baby; i.e if it wasn’t for a sperm sample that was needed for IVF.
A summary of the bill reads: “This bill, known as the ‘Contraception Begins at Erection Act,’ proposes to make it unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material (sperm) without the intent to fertilize an embryo, effectively criminalizing certain male reproductive behaviors.”
Such ‘male reproductive behaviors’ wouldn’t land a man any jail time, however. Instead the bill proposes that they be hit with a cash fine.
On the first offense it would be $1,000, which would be raised to $5,000 for a second offense. From the third time onwards, the individual would have to fork out $10,000.
Of course, the bill comes with its exceptions.
The bill was proposed by Mississippi lawmaker Bradford Blackmon (Bradford Blackmon/Facebook)
“The bill includes two key exceptions: genetic material donated or sold to a facility for future embryo fertilization, and genetic material discharged using a contraceptive method intended to prevent fertilization,” it explains.
The ‘Contraception Begins at Erection Act’, which has been sponsored by Mississippi lawmaker Bradford Blackmon, would come into force on July 1, 2025, if signed into law bu Gov. Tate Reeves.
Speaking to WLBT, Blackmon noted that many bills regarding reproductive rights are often targeted at women.
“All across the country, especially here in Mississippi, the vast majority of bills relating to contraception and/or abortion focus on the woman’s role when men are fifty percent of the equation,” he wrote, as per NBC News.
“This bill highlights that fact and brings the man’s role into the conversation. People can get up in arms and call it absurd but I can’t say that bothers me.”
He later wrote in a press statement on Facebook that the filing was made to point out the ‘double standard’, adding: “You have male-dominated legistures in Mississippi and all over the country that pass laws that dictate what a woman can and cannot do with her body.
“When a bill has been filed that would regulate what a man is able to do with his own body in his own home, it suddenly has people in an uproar … men are not held to the same standard when it comes to the intrusion into their personal private affairs as women.
Mississippi is one of the 12 states in America that has total or near-total bans on abortion, while an addition six states ban abortion from six to 12 weeks of gestation.
Other countries outside the US to have limitations on abortion include Iraq, Egypt, Madagascar, and Haitai, Time reported in 2022.

A man has revealed how he feels after being celibate for three years and explained why he decided to move away from his previously promiscuous antics.
In the age of online dating, I think we can all agree that relationships have come increasingly more casual.
In fact, in 2020, 62 percent of US adults said that they thought casual sex between two consenting adults who were not in a committed relationship was generally acceptable, as per the Pew Research Center.
However, celibacy is also on the rise.
Between 2009 – 2018, the National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior found that there was a drastic increase in adolescents reporting no sexual activity, going from 28.8 percent to 44.2 percent, The Guardian previously reported.
And one person to have dabbled with celibacy is Australian influencer Jamie Zhu, who has abstained from sex for three years.
Explaining why he decided to embark on such a challenge, Jamie explained to his 859,000 Instagram followers in a video posted last month: “I’ve been in the social media game for 11 years now as a career and that exposed me to a lot of partying, drinking, sleeping around, all these things.”
He went on to say that this led to ‘spiritual warfare’ and he wanted to ‘get rid of these soul ties’ he had with his lovers.

“I had to literally trick my own brain into being celibate long-term. Now how did I do that? I set myself a 100-day challenge,” Jamie continued.
“I said, ‘Jamie, you’re gonna be celibate for just 100 days and after the 100 days is over, you can go back to your old ways’.
“But I knew very well in those 100 days that I would be able to break the habit and then move into celibacy.”
During this period, he would channel his ‘sexual energy’ by going for a run or doing a work out.
As to the affect it’s had on his mental and physical state, Jamie revealed: “The mental clarity, the focus, the drive, the motivation for life that I feel each and every single day is something that I cannot compare with anything else.”
He went on: “After the first one to two months or so, I noticed that my energy was absolutely through the roof.
“I stopped having those afternoon crashes and my capacity to work was unlike anything I had ever felt before. I used to burn out easily if I was working too much, but the notion of burn-out doesn’t exist anymore.”
Jamie added that he became ‘hyper-focused’ on his career and the temptations he faced became easier to control.

Kate Hudson has spoken out about why she took a year off dating men after a session with her therapist.
The actor may’ve starred in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but the 45-year-old has revealed she once decided to swear off men for not just a week or so, but a whole year.
In an interview with Alex Cooper on her podcast Call Her Daddy, Hudson revealed she took ‘like a full year’ away from dating when she was in her thirties.
She explains she was allowed to ‘talk to’ men but ‘couldn’t flirt’ or ‘even text guys’.
“I couldn’t give them my number,” she adds.
But why did she decide to make such a cut-off decision?

Well, because Hudson’s therapist advised her too. of course. The actor explained her therapist offered to ‘help’ her but warned she had to actually ‘do it’ and stick to the advice.
“He’s like get off the sauce,” she continues. “And, well my thing, is I always get distracted. It’s fun. I just love the, ‘Oo this is fun I’m going to text this person.'”
The actor explains she was so ready to accept the advice because she didn’t ‘want to keep repeating any patterns anymore’.
And it saw a massive improvement to her life.

She says: “It was strangely empowering because it got very uncomfortable for me in […] like the first couple months.
“[…] You know my mojo was like [mimes downward movement] I was just like […] I felt like, ‘What am I doing?’ […] It’s not fun, you know?”
However, Hudson explains because she was ‘going through a very specific type of therapy’, the whole process was ‘really about figuring out certain things that were happening with’ her.
“And then I had this one sort of breakthrough that was very emotional, that I don’t think I would have been able to access if I had any distraction, so it allowed me to see things much more clearly.
“And then, within six months I was like, I didn’t care about my phone, I didn’t care if I was going to go out and meet my girlfriends, I wasn’t like that thing where I’m like, ‘Oh I wonder if so-and-so will be there’ or ‘We should call up so-and-so and do that’. There was no desire for me to be doing anything that had anything to do with potential flirtation.”
Once the actor got to that stage, her therapist told her she could go and flirt again and she jokes she ‘forgot’ how to do it at first, but when she returned, she ‘didn’t have the same attachment to’ texting guys anymore.
The one year without men saw Hudson feeling really ‘happy’ being single and not going for certain men she would’ve gone for before.
It also led her to end up with her now fiancé, Danny Fujikawa – something she doesn’t think would’ve happened if she hadn’t gone through the year without flirting.
So, how about it?

A Texan woman has found love with a man 21 years her junior after claiming she believes older gents to be ‘rigid’.
Mother-of-four Michelle Rinella said there was an ‘instant attraction’ between herself and Brandon Graham – a truck driver and certified personal trainer.
Before meeting her now-husband, the 54-year-old had previously been married to a man 11 years her senior.
However, speaking about her past dating experience with older men, the woman quipped: “They couldn’t keep up with me. They were just boring.”
Kennedy News
After taking some time out from hunting for love, Rinella met Graham, now 33, in September 2019.
However, she admitted she wasn’t initially ‘hopeful’ about the relationship.
“At first, I don’t think I was very hopeful about it given the age gap. He messaged me. I opened it and thought to myself, ‘Another 20-something. Why do they keep messaging me?’” she explained.
“Then I looked at his picture and thought, ‘Maybe a quick hello wouldn’t hurt!’
“I sent him a message that said ‘How old are you?’ and he replied ‘Old enough to make you happy’. He was right.”
After linking up with Graham, the Plano native claimed that the sexual attraction between them felt like ‘fire’.
She also admitted that she found him ‘more handsome’ in real life compared to his photographs.
“But then there was this emotional attraction,” the psychologist continued.
“He came with a level of vulnerability that I wasn’t used to. Older men were just more rigid and they didn’t need anything from a relationship.”

She also said that while she sees Graham as ‘young’ and ‘beautiful’ he sees her as ‘wise’, ‘established’ and ‘attractive’.
After two years of dating – which Rinella claimed felt like ‘fresh air’ – she and the father-of-one eventually tied the knot.
The lavish wedding ceremony was held outdoors, featured fireworks and saw the pair departing by boat across a lake.
Now, the pair spend most of their time working, eating dinner together and looking after Graham’s 13-year-old son.
Opening up about judgement, Rinella claimed she and her husband’s passion is ‘fuelled’ by negative comments.

She explained: “It makes us passionate about fighting for our relationship. It’s nice to be out just because he’s so handsome.
“We walk in the room and it’s like the screeching of a record sound. The whole room goes quiet. People are looking. It used to really bother me.”
She continued to say that her spouse made her understand that ‘people were going to look’ and that there was ‘no benefit’ of making the worst out of the situation.
“Maybe people are looking at us because we’re a good looking couple,” Rinella quipped.

“If not, maybe they just don’t know what it’s like to really feel like this.”
Due to their age difference, the Texan tries not to think about what she and her husband will look like in the future.
“Right now we’re 20 years apart but we’re in the same part of our lives. The big thing is that in 20 years, I’ll be 75 and he’ll be 55.”
She added that she still wonders if she could trust Graham to ‘take care’ of her when she becomes elderly.
“The thought of that is hard as we’ll be at different parts of our lives.”
“I’ll be elderly and he’ll still be young enough to be healthy but I just can’t get stuck worrying about that.”

People are flooding to social media after a TikToker shared a video exposing a group of boys who allegedly called their girlfriends ‘ugly’.
Ah, the power of social media. You can no longer go anywhere in public and say anything out loud without being at risk of being recorded and put all over the internet.
While this can be beneficial in some cases, it hasn’t turned out quite so well for a group of boys playing a game of pickleball in Florida, who’s words could well be about to come back to bite them.
TikToker Anna Woodring – who goes by @annacwoodring on the platform – took to her page last week to share a video of herself on the side of a sports court.
The video shows Anna with her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide, before flipping to show what her view is – a group of boys with their shirts off playing a game of pickleball.
The video’s label reads: “If your bf’s are in seaside/ PCB Florida for spring break they’re literally talking about how ugly their gf’s are… Time to find new ones.”
Her caption adds: “Lookin out for all the girls who’s bf’s came here w out them #fyp #foryoupage #relatable #pickleball #springbreak #seaside #relationships #florida #girlsgirl.”
And it’s not taken long for other TikTokers to flock to the post to weigh in on the situation.

One user said: “I really wanted a bf but I don’t think I can anymore. I have never seen a good man in my life.”
“No bc this happened to me before and found out from his friends,” another added.
A third commented: “Ur a queen for this.”
And a fourth said: “Why did my heart drop? my bf is at home with me rn and we are going to florida together next week.”
And it’s not just Anna who’s calling out boyfriends online. Catch Anna’s video here:
Jake Craig, who hosts his podcast with Ottie Clarke titled Relatables, revealed there’s a comment that many men supposedly say which actually comes with a deeper intention behind it.
He said: “To all the ladies out there with a boyfriend who’s always saying, ‘I don’t want to get married’.
“We say that for attention. We want you to say, ‘No, but I want to marry you so bad’.”
What I want to know is if their girlfriends have seen the footage?
