The moment a Florida police deputy crashes into the back of another car while watching pornography behind the wheel has been revealed to the public.
An investigation was launched after a police officer was involved in a car crash while driving south on County Road 435. He ended up hitting a civilian’s vehicle, but it wasn’t this careless act that got him into trouble. Take a look below:
The incident happened in early November last year and authorities have since named the officer as Deputy Tristan Macomber.
Macomber’s body camera captured the moment he hit the other car and his airbags deployed. Seconds later, he gets out of the vehicle and throws his phone on the seat before going to pick it up. He then checks on the driver ahead and attempts to explain the reason for the crash.
He said: “Hello, ma’am. Are you OK? I’m so sorry, my brakes locked up.”
However, the investigation into the incident concluded that this was a lie and found that he was actually watching porn on his phone at the time of the crash…
The police officer was seemingly distracted while driving (Lake County Sheriff’s Office)
Macomber initially stated that he was scrolling through a group chat with other deputies on his phone while he was driving prior to the crash.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs report said that Macomber ‘admitted to lying’ before he later revealed that he was ‘looking at pornographic material on his personal phone just before the vehicle crash’.
Through his actions, authorities were able to conclude that he had violated three Sheriff’s Office policies; he departed from the truth, used an electronic device for something that is prohibited and there was evidence to suggest he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The deputy has since resigned from the police force.
As you can imagine, when social media got wind of the incident, they weren’t exactly sympathetic to the officer, and many have insisted he seek medical help for his ‘addiction’ to pornography.
Is that a towel in the police car…? (Lake County Sheriff’s Office)
One user wrote: “Now this made me chuckle, because who in their right minds watches that stuff with bodycam on AND while on duty.”
Another said: “If you’re unable to keep yourself from watching it while you’re driving (with your bodycam on), you really should seek professional assistance.”
A third wrote: “Imagine when his family sees this how embarrassing it is going to be for him.”
And another simply put: “‘Are you ok ma’am? My brakes locked up!!’ There is nothing like a law breaking, lying police officer!!”

An officer’s ‘disturbing’ reaction to a student getting fatally hit by a police car was caught on bodycam.
A Seattle Police Department’s vehicle struck and killed student Jaahnavi Kandula on January 23 last year.
Kandula was using a crosswalk near her South Lake Union campus when she was hit. The car, driven by officer Kevin Dave, was responding to a drug overdose call, traveling at 74 miles per hour.
Kandula, who was studying in the US from India, died after being thrown 138 feet by the car.
But it was another officer’s response to the tragedy that ‘brought shame’ on the police department.
SPD’s Daniel Auderer – who was not involved in the incident – was caught laughing while responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision.
Shocking bodycam footage, which you can watch above, also captured him wrongly stating that Kandula was ‘just 26’ and that her life had ‘limited value’.
He also claimed the city should ‘just write a check for $11,000.’
The conversation was uncovered by officials last August.

Auderer was fired by the department this July. Seattle interim police Chief Sue Rahr said in a department-wide email that Auderer’s actions ‘have brought shame on the Seattle Police Department and our entire profession, making the job of every police officer more difficult.’
She added that it was her duty to uphold the high standards necessary to maintain public trust.
Meanwhile, Mayor Bruce Harrell said in a statement back in July: “This incident damaged the public trust we have been working to strengthen since Day One of my administration.”
Kandula’s family previously said in a statement: “We are truly heartbroken. Jaahnavi was a brilliant student with a bright future.
“Jaahnavi’s smile was radiant, and her bubbly personality warmed the hearts of every person she came in contact with. She had an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life.”

They added: “Jaahnavi’s tragic and untimely death has left her family and community with a huge hole in their hearts that will never be repaired. She was a daughter to a single mother who teaches elementary school in India.
“In spite of earning less than 200 USD per month, her mother educated Jaahnavi and encouraged her to the United States hoping Jaahnavi would have a better future and a better life abroad.
“Her mother’s hopes and dreams are cut short now.”
Auderer, who was the elected vice president of the Seattle Police Officers Guild, was not charged with any crime over the comments.

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly T-boned another car while speeding.
Minnesota State Patrol trooper Shane Roper, 32, was driving his squad car when he struck the vehicle 18-year-old cheerleader Olivia Flores was riding in.
The car crash happened back in May and as well as Flores’ death, five other people were injured – some of them being serious.
On July 9, Roper was charged with manslaughter and his record of ‘inattentive driving or excessive speed’ has come to light.
The crash happened at the intersection of Apache Mall Dr. And 12th St. SW in Rochester, Minnesota.
A total of three vehicles were involved in the crash and observations from the scene indicated the Roper’s car t-boned a Ford Focus.
Flores was riding as a passenger in this car and the other two people in the car were taken to hospital after the crash with broken bone injuries.
While doing traffic enforcement, Roper’s car was waiting stationary on the exit ramp from 6th St. SW onto highway 52 before taking off at rapid speed.
He reportedly exited the ramp at 98 mph to catch another motorist for a minor traffic violation before the crash.
The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office press release about the matter included the full charges against Roper.
They included: “Second Degree Manslaughter along with Criminal Vehicular Homicide related to Ms. Flores as well as several charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation related to the other victims.”

The family are expectedly devastated especially as Flores was set to celebrate her graduation.
The family’s attorneys highlighted the family’s grief and spoke at a press conference following the charges against Roper. They also questioned why he could continue doing his jobs despite his many previous driving infractions.
The family’s attorney Dan McIntosh said: “It doesn’t make sense from an outsider observer how he could continue to be put in a squad car without more controls on him, without more oversight of what he is doing.”
The family’s second attorney Tom Braun also said: “The Flores family is very concerned about the institutional operations of the state patrol.
The family’s attorney’s questioned why Roper was allowed to continue working.(CBS News Minnesota)
“Their hope and their desire is to keep everyone accountable in terms of how we got to this point today, where we have a trooper on the road who shouldn’t have been on the road.”
Looking at the Roper’s previous incidents, the court documents stated Roper had engaged in high-speed driving without emergency lights, in one instance getting to speeds of 135mph in a 55mph zone, while other times it was over 99mph.
In some cases, he had turned off his emergency lights while maintaining extreme speeds.

Warning: This article contains discussion of rape which some readers may find distressing.
A woman has given an abominable excuse for falsely accusing a man she had never met of attempted rape.
Anjela Borisova Urumova, from Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, admitted she lied when she filed a police report accusing a man she didn’t know of attempting to kidnap and rape her.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, Urumova told police officers that a 41-year-old man had attacked her in the parking lot of Redner’s supermarket in Middletown Township on April 16, 2024.
The 20-year-old claimed Daniel Pierson had pulled her pants down and struck her in the face.
When she filed her allegation, Urumova reportedly had a visible mark on her lip and was able to describe the man’s pickup truck in detail.
She said he was driving a dented dark blue Ford F-150 pickup with a ‘thin blue line’ sticker on the rear windshield.
The woman claimed she was attacked in a parking lot of a grocery store (Google Maps)
After investigators tracked him down, Urumova said she was ’60 percent sure’ he was the suspect in a photo lineup, reports Law&Crime.
Pierson was held on a $1 million bail after being charged with several felonies and spent a month incarcerated while officers investigated the case.
According to a statement by the DA’s office, Middletown Township Police ‘collected and reviewed available surveillance videos from multiple retailers in the area of the reported attack’ and assessed Urumova’s cellphone.
The investigation unearthed ‘multiple inconsistencies and contradictory information’ from the woman’s account of the attack.
When police confronted her with the evidence, the woman reportedly ‘admitted she lied about the entire incident’.
A copy of the criminal complaint, obtained by Law&Crime, reveals she ‘specifically targeted’ the stranger because she had ‘seen him and the truck in the past’.

As for her injury, she revealed her grandmother, who suffers from dementia, threw an object at her which caused the laceration, which she then used to blame on Pierson.
Yet her most heinous admission comes as Urumova said she accused the innocent man of attacking her because he looked ‘creepy’.
Urumova pleaded guilty on Thursday to seven criminal charges in connection with her fabricated story, Law & Crime reports, including one count each of false alarm to an agency of public safety and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
She also pleaded to two counts of false reports and three counts of unsworn falsification to authorities.
Common Pleas Judge Stephen Corr has deferred her sentencing so she can undergo a pre-sentence investigation.
After spending 31 days behind bars, the authorities determined Pierson had not committed any crime and he walked free after all charges against him were dropped.
