Paris Hilton has long been in the spotlight, but it turns out she hasn’t been using her ‘real’ voice for all this time.
Hilton became a 00s icon alongside Nicole Richie after starring in The Simple Life together; a show where both Richie and Hilton — who grew in wealthy homes — were forced to get low paying jobs and live with middle-class families.
The show propelled the pair into international stardom, with Hilton in particular becoming well-known for what she’s previously described as her ‘ditzy airhead character’.
But it turns out this is just a front for the DJ, heiress, and socialite.
She recently revealed that she opted to use her ‘real voice’ in her 2024 album Infinite Icon with the encouragement of Sia.
Discussing the persona she’d put on for so many years, Hilton explained in an interview with Nylon: “In the beginning, it was kind of a trauma response, where I wanted to create this perfect Barbie doll life because of what I went through as a teenager at those emotional-growth boarding… I hate even calling them ‘schools’. This was a protective mask.”

The mom-of-two alleges that she was abused at the school she was sent to for supposedly ‘troubled teens’.
In light of her reported experiences, Hilton has been campaigning to improve child welfare protections in the US and while speaking at a House committee last year on the matter, the 43-year-old revealed her real voice.
Now, her 2024 interview with First We Feast where she discussed her favorite snacks is doing the rounds online as Hilton seemingly accidentally switched from her ‘persona’ voice to her real one.
The moment occurred as she discussed her love of cereals like Lucky Charms and Rice Krispies.
See it here:
Hilton’s apparent slip-up has been discussed on Reddit of late as people shared their thoughts on how she really sounds.
“Her actual voice is incredibly less annoying,” one person said.
Echoing similar sentiments, someone else wrote: “I concur I be inclined to say I’d be happy to hear her real voice more.”
Others hailed Hilton’s real voice as ‘sexy’. Someone penned: “She has a very sexy naturally deep voice imo.”
“Dude her real voice is so sexy,” wrote a second.
“I don’t know why but I was immediately attracted to that voice,” a third added.
Elsewhere on First We Feast’s YouTube video, people said that she should use her real voice more often.
I mean, it must be pretty tiring putting on a voice that isn’t your own all the time.

Paris Hilton has spoken out about the ‘heartache’ of seeing wildfires sweep through California.
On Tuesday (January 7), the Pacific Palisades Fire erupted, hurricane-style winds blowing it through the Pacific Coast to Pasadena with multiple other wildfires having since broken out too, encircling Los Angeles.
By last night, it was reported the fire had led to the deaths of five people, residents urged to evacuate and a red flag warning issued by National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles and Oxnard CA in place until tomorrow.
LAPD chief Jim McDonnell said the winds are unlike anything he’d ‘ever seen before’ and more than 1,000 structures are reported as having burnt down, as per AP News, with the fires having left Malibu’s coastline scorched.
Among the homes affected in Malibu is that of Paris Hilton, with the businesswoman having taken to Twitter to reveal she and her family saw her home ‘burn to the ground on live TV‘, which she notes is ‘something no one should ever have to experience’.
In a post shared earlier today, she wrote: “Heartbroken beyond words […] This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.
“While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.
“To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets.

“My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
Hilton noted her 11:11 Media Impact Team is already in touch with various nonprofit organizations to try and provide support for those impacted by the fires.
“We’re committed to offering help as soon as possible and making a meaningful difference for those who need it most,” she added.
The socialite thanked the ‘brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect’ everyone’.
She continued: “You are true heroes. I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Hilton ended the post by urging everyone to try and ‘stay safe’ as best as they can and ‘follow evacuation orders’.
She resolved: “Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained. Sending so much love and strength to all of you. We’re in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”

As wildfires continue to burn through Los Angeles, former reality TV star Paris Hilton has launched a generous fundraiser to support those in need in the county.
The city has bared witness to the most destructive fires in its history, with six separate beasts burning through entire neighborhoods in northwest Los Angeles.
The death toll has risen to 11 people, while more than 153,000 more have been ordered to evacuate their homes.
It all began on Tuesday when Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires set the city alight. Since then, Palisades Fire has burned through 21,596 acres with only eight percent of it in containment, stretching between Malibu and Santa Monica – and has since started spreading east.
Eaton Fire has burned through 14,117 acres with just three percent containment, Kenneth Fire has spread across 1,052 acres with 50 percent containment, Hurst Fire has damaged 771 acres with 70 percent of it contained. The Lidia Fire has burned through 395 acres, but is just two percent from being entirely contained. Meanwhile, the newest Archer Fire is spread across 19 acres with zero percent containment.

Taking to Instagram, Hilton, who has lost her own home in Malibu to the Palisades Fire, issued the following statement: “My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating fires here in LA. While I’ve lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more—their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.
“As a mom, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies so I’m launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children.
“I’m starting with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will be matching additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!”
She went on to explain that ‘donations will support our young families and pets’ to provide monetary assistance, as well as providing ‘short-term housing and hotel stays’ for those with children and to help fund animal shelters working with displaced pets.

Some of the money raised will also go towards ‘delivering essentials and supplies to evacuation centers’ – which Hilton has volunteered to do herself this weekend.
The mom-of-two went on to thank a number of organizations including Sean Penn‘s aid group CORE – which stands for Community Organized Relief Effort, and responds to support communities in and beyond crisis.
Adding: “Let’s come together for LA. Every dollar makes a difference, and we’ll make sure the support reaches those who need it most. Visit the link in my bio to help.”
Hilton has been applauded by her fans for her generosity. One commented: “You literally are my favorite celebrity. You continue to amaze me with your kindness and selflessness. Bless you.”
While another said: “Praying for your family and everyone that has been affected. @parishilton @carterreum_official you have such a big heart! You will get through this.”

Paris Hilton has surprised fans by allowing her alleged ‘real’ voice to slip through while advocating for child welfare.
American businesswoman and media personality Hilton, 43, has recently been contributing to a congressional panel looking into strengthening child welfare protections.
The New York native, who testified she had been institutionalised and ‘sexually abused’ as a teenager earlier this week, has been part of the panel advocating for better protections for children in youth facilities.
One particular moment from the hearing is going viral and causing fans to claim the hotel heiress should pursue a political career. Check it out below:
While discussing her experiences with the House committee, the mum-of-two was asked by United States Representative Claudia Tenney, 63, how she believes mental health and counselling support could be incorporated into child welfare programs.
In response, The Simple Life star said: “Thank you, I enjoyed our Zoom call. I love your jacket. The sparkles are amazing.”
“I had a little bling here for today,” Tenney added before Hilton quipped: “I wanted to find out who made it later.”
After exchanging pleasantries, the media icon switched her voice pitch and used a deeper, more serious tone to tackle the tough subject matter.
She claimed that children should have access to therapy counselling, mentorship and other community-based programs.
“I think it’s also important not to label these kids as ‘troubled’ or ‘bad’. I think it makes these children feel like they aren’t believed and that’s something that’s important for them not to feel that way,” she explained.

“It’s just about showing kindness, love, compassion and support. Giving these kids life skills they can use otherwise we’re just setting them up to fail.”
When asked if she’d had access to any of the cited outlets when she was growing up, Hilton replied in the negative.
“No, I was only sent there [various institutions] because I was getting bad grades, ditching classes. I have ADHD and that’s not something they were really talking about back then.
Following the clip, fans of Hilton have come out in their droves to debate the dramatic voice change, with one X user writing: “Wow, I honestly didn’t know she had that in her.”
Another commented: “She’s worn that persona like a skin-suit for so long, it’s fascinating she can just slip it on and off like that.”
“She’s been so good at that for decades now,” praised someone else. “Put her in politics!”
Meanwhile, a TikTok user typed: “The voice change was to make a viral moment- in a good way. She knows people will watch when she does that and then immediately went serious.”
“She a smart woman who knows how to play a part,” echoed another. “No shame in the game.”

Over the years, Hilton has altered her voice pitch in numerous interviews and in 2020 she admitted it’s because the socialite we know and love is just a persona.
Speaking to 7News ahead of the release of her YouTube documentary, I Am Paris, the mum of two said: “This entire time I have been playing a character so the world has never truly known who I am.”
She continued to explain that she had been ‘through so much’ over the years and that it was ‘finally’ that the world became acquainted with the real Hilton.
“The real me is someone who is actually brilliant. I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just really good at pretending to be one.”
She added: “I don’t want to be remembered for some airhead, but the businesswoman I am.”

Paris Hilton has opened up about the ‘indescribable heartbreak’ of returning to her Malibu home to find it reduced to ‘ashes’.
Since the Palisades Fire first erupted on January 7, five fires are currently raging across California and thousands of acres of Los Angeles have been engulfed by flames, leaving thousands of structures damaged or completely destroyed with 10 people confirmed dead and the number expected to rise.
One of the homes destroyed along Malibu’s coastline is that of Paris Hilton, who previously took to social media to describe watching her home ‘burn to the ground on live TV’.
And the businesswoman has since revealed what she discovered when she returned to the site after the flames had been extinguished.
Hilton took to her social media on January 9 to explain she was sitting with her family watching the news when she saw footage of her home on live TV, lamenting the place where she ‘built so many precious memories’ with her family.
And she’s since shared a video ‘standing here in what used to be [her] home,’ noting ‘the heartbreak is truly indescribable’.
The caption to the video reads: “When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock – I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.
“This house wasn’t just a place to live – It was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family. It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words.”
However, Hilton notes that there’s something which ‘breaks [her] heart even more’.

The post continues: “This isn’t just my story. So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs – it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives.”
Hilton adds she knows she is ‘incredibly lucky’ and is ‘holding onto gratitude’ that her loved ones, babies and pets are ‘safe’ which she resolves is ‘the most important thing’.
She also notes how ‘beyond grateful’ she is to ‘all the the firefighters, first responders and volunteers risking their lives to fight these fires’.

Hilton resolves: “To everyone who has sent love, prayers, and kindness – you’ve reminded me that even in the ashes, there is still beauty in this world.
“Thank you from the deepest part of my heart. And to everyone going through this pain, please know you’re not alone. We’re in this together. We will rebuild, we will heal, and we will rise stronger than before.
“Let this be a reminder to hold your loved ones close. Cherish the moments. Life can change in an instant, and it’s the love we share that truly matters. I’m sending all my love to everyone who is hurting right now.”
